Former WWE World Champion Daniel Bryan has been doing a lot of interviews to promote his recently-released (and New York Times best-selling) autobiography. In most interviews, he's not shy about saying that he's been cleared to return to the ring by his personal doctor, but WWE doctors are hesitant to clear him to return to action. The reason that Bryan's out of action is because of a serious concussion he suffered in April. He claims his neck is fine, so it's just a concussion issue. He has a history of dealing with concussions, so WWE is hesitant to bring him back. Bryan's always been honest with fans, but in this case it's possible that he has been told to say certain things to get people thinking about his return. If he's cleared by his doctor then WWE must be close to clearing him for action too. Since SummerSlam is such a huge event, it seems like the perfect time to bring him back into WWE storylines. Fans want something big to happen at the show and the return of Bryan could be the spark that WWE needs to make it a truly memorable show. Perhaps Bryan could get back into the Intercontinental Championship picture since he never actually lost the title...
