10 Biggest WWE Upset Wins

6. Shelton Benjamin Beats Triple H - Raw

WWE.comWWE.comWhen Triple H faced off with Shelton Benjamin in the main event of Raw on March 29, 2004 it had a big fight feel to it. Hunter had just lost the World Title a few weeks earlier while Benjamin was just drafted to Raw from Smackdown a week earlier. The idea was that Benjamin was a very talented wrestler that just needed something to get to that next level. We were used to seeing Triple H win. He won so much that it was expected especially against a guy like Benjamin that had only been on the main roster for a few years. There were a lot of good nearfalls for both guys. There was also Ric Flair in Hunter's corner and Chris Benoit was out there to support Benjamin too. When Benjamin hit a cross body block off the top the crowd thought he might win. That's how hot they were for this match. Then Benjamin countered a Pedigree for a two count. Hunter was distracted by Flair and Benoit arguing at ringside, so Benjamin took advantage with a corner splash followed by a rollup for the win. The crowd went wild. Jim Ross on commentary did too. They really didn't follow up on this angle very well, but for one night they gave us one of those truly memorable Raw moments that we remember very well over ten years later.
