3. Torrie Wilson And Stacy Keibler Were Both Just Fans In The Crowd Before Being Signed

The two most popular women in WCW history Torrie Wilson and Stacy Keibler were just fans in the audience at events before being snapped up and signed to contracts as valets/wrestlers.

Stacy was only 18 when she started attending shows with her boyfriend at the time. She was in the crowd for Nitros, even being shown on camera with a ‘Thank You Bret’ sign, and at Starrcade (1998) where she was decked out in a nWo Wolfpac shirt. She soon got the attention of WCW officials, being encouraged to enter a competition to find a new Nitro Girl, which she won. Because of her age she would appear on WCW TV whilst attending school full-time.

Torrie started in the entertainment world as a fitness competitor. It was through this she scored tickets to a WCW show with her then-boyfriend who happened to be a gigantic wrestling fan and follower. She was invited backstage where her looks got the interest of WCW higher-ups.

It worked out for them. Torrie became a WWE Hall of Famer in 2019 and ‘The Legs of WCW’ Stacy will no doubt join a future HOF class someday in the future.
