Women's wrestling and film noir: two great tastes that taste great together?

Well, no, not so much. It's a fairly routine tale of crime and corruption that just so happens to tangentially involve ladies' grappling. It's not like Bull Nakano is kicking down Sam Spade's door and dropping a somersault leg drop on Peter Lorre.

Well, they did cast real wrestlers, including former NWA women's world champion Clara Mortensen and the fantastically-named Peaches Page, who in my head-canon is the long-lost mother of DDP.

The film kind of drags in the middle, beginning and end, so do yourself a favor and watch the Mystery Science Theater 3000 episode that riffs on it instead. Not only do you get to hear the invaluable opinions of sarcastic robots, but it also comes packaged with an educational short about preparing for a sober and responsible marriage.

Immortal Dialogue: "I am the women's champion of allllllll Mexico!"
