6. Daniel Bryan's Longest Losing World Title Defense Is Only 18 Seconds

Daniel Bryan might go down as one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time, with one of the worst world championship histories of all time.

Bryan’s first world title loss was his most infamous: 18 seconds. In one of the worst booking decisions of all time, Daniel dropped the World Heavyweight Championship to Sheamus at WrestleMania XXVIII after a kiss from AJ Lee and a single Brogue Kick.

Interestingly enough, this was the only match where he lost a world championship that happened as planned. He won the WWE Championship at SummerSlam 2013 before Triple H created the Authority and helped Randy Orton cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase. Triple H would screw Bryan out of the belt again by reversing the decision of Bryan and Orton’s rematch at Night of Champions before Bryan’s own body screwed him out of his final reign with the belt. His win at WrestleMania XXX was triumphant, but it just wasn’t meant to be.

At least he got to defend the championship in that last reign successfully against Kane…
