3. Hulk Hogan - Honey-Nut Cheerios
The premise of the commercial is admittedly a unique one. Hulk Hogan, still at the hight of his über- babyface run, corners a terrified and stammering cartoon bee, to the degree that it offers up a bowl of its precious cereal.
Adding to the nonsensical vibes Hogan grabs a spoon and proclaims “Hulk Hogan doesn’t eat nuts and honey." After renouncing the two primary ingredients of the product, the bee resorts to nudging a spoonful of Cheerios into 'The Hulkster's' mouth.
Hogan makes a sudden and sharp U-turn and now declares the cereal “better than a body slam." His reaction tells viewers is supposed to be a glowing endorsement (if you can find a link between breakfast food and body slams let us know in the comments). The most impressive aspect of Hogan's performance is that his moustache doesn’t prove a barrier and a breeding ground for pre-chewed food.
Despite the bizarreness that has landed it on this list, the advertisement is 100% on brand for Hulk Hogan and his immersion into Western pop culture. We wouldn't expect anything less from Hogan than going from feuding with a cartoon bee to flexing with it in 30 seconds.
