10 Blockbuster Returns WWE STILL Haven't Done Yet

9. Ronda Rousey

Sting WWE Return
WWE Network

It's unlikely that women's wrestling would have made it to the WrestleMania main event if not for Ronda Rousey, who'd still be WWE's biggest mainstream celebrity if she was to mount a comeback tomorrow.

This isn't a condemnation of the full-time wrestlers' talents, but rather an acknowledgement that it's likelier your mother could put a name to 'The Baddest Woman On The Planet's' face than Charlotte Flair or Becky Lynch's, assuming your mother isn't a wrestling fan. Rousey was the big name that scene needed to close 'The Show of Shows.' Can they reach that level again without her? Hopefully, though a Rousey comeback would be a more dependable vehicle.

Lord knows what's really going on with Ronda at the moment. She has taken to trolling wrestling fans hard in recent months, blaming the "ungrateful" audience for her hastened departure from wrestling, then revealing the whole thing was a work. Whatever the case, her full-time days are done. If she is to be used going forward, it'll be on an Undertaker or Lesnar-like schedule, though her first big comeback is sure to be hyped.
