10 Blockbuster WWE Returns That Would Improve Ratings Immediately
8. Kurt Angle
At the end of 2014, Kurt Angle was a free agent. Wanting to finish his career where he started it, Angle reached out to WWE, but his services were declined. The rumored reasons for the failure to reach terms varied, with insiders citing everything from Angle wanting to work a reduced schedule to WWE having concerns about Angle's health to head decision-maker Triple H simply not having interest in the former WWE Champion. Angle is heading toward free agency again, and it's pretty likely he'll reach out to WWE once more. While all of the same concerns are still there, company executives are more desperate than they were last year. Angle was one of the top competitors of the past generation, and is absolutely guaranteed to be seen as a huge star by the WWE Universe. There are tons of new and exciting matches for the veteran, should he return, but the most exciting feud for Angle may be with an old rival - Brock Lesnar. Lesnar is the most popular act in WWE, and Angle is arguably his greatest career rival. One last bout between the two would draw huge, and the program would undoubtedly spike ratings.
