10 Bloodiest Wrestling Matches Ever Broadcast

5. WWE Taboo Tuesday 2005: Triple H vs. Ric Flair

The problem with trying to pick a Ric Flair match featuring copious bleeding is that it€™s very much like picking your favourite song by your favourite band: it€™ll change from day to day, and you€™ll never be sure you picked the right one. That being the case, I€™ve gone for this overlooked gem: a 2005 WWE steel cage match between The Nature Boy and Triple H. It€™s my pick for two major reasons aside from the gnarly amounts of claret splashed all over the place. Firstly, it€™s a WWE production, so video quality is excellent (as opposed to many of the NWA matches that Flair bladed in, which don€™t represent nearly as well). Secondly, it features the greatest low blow spot of all time, where babyface Flair doesn€™t just junk-punch Hunter, but grabs himself a bloody handful and squeezes, delivering chop after chop while still holding onto his Game. Triple H sells it like Flair€™s rammed his King Of Kings into a blender, and he€™s such an unremitting d*ckweasel that you can€™t help but cheer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fPE4s01wnlQ The blood comes after Flair€™s rammed face first into the cage for the first time, and the camera lingers on Triple H for long enough afterwards that you can be fairly sure it€™s a blade€ of course, Flair opens up if he blinks really hard, so maybe he just used a fingernail on one of those scars on his forehead, who knows?
