10 Bold Wrestling Predictions For 2022

4. The Big Jeff Jarrett Comeback

Somewhere out there, Jeff Jarrett's eyes are beginning to focus into a squint as he blows on his cup of coffee.

Certain thoughts are swirling around his head.

WWE's recent business rethink, combined with the ostensible death of Ring Of Honor, has just created a huge free agent field - and AEW can't sign 'em all. You could build a promotion around those names. A weird and wacky one, for sure, but a promotion nonetheless. Keith Lee, Bray Wyatt, Braun Strowman, John Morrison, Tegan Nox, Mercedes Martinez: there is enough merchandise potential, experience, and sheer likability out there to fill a roster of not inconsiderable depth.

What if...just what if Jeff Jarrett, whose charms are obvious to any of his podcast listeners, decides to fancy-talk a TV executive and let them know that, in addition to these free agents, WWE and AEW have done more than enough to justify those r i g h t s, ha,ha, d fouble es?

And who better to star at the forefront of such an endeavour?

Ha, ha. Why, ol' Double J of course!

"See sir, you need a bridge to get people to watch. For credibility, like. Well, I reckon I have certain experience in that regard..."
