9. The Women's Tag Team Championships Are Discontinued

Since their introduction at the end of 2018, the Women’s Tag Team Championships have had a tough time of things. An apparent lack of care and attention from WWE’s creative team, as well as a run of injured Champions that has given birth to an alleged “curse” on them, have caused the interest in these belts to dwindle over the past five years.

WWE’s willingness - or lack thereof - to creatively tell stories regarding women’s tag teams has played a big part in the downfall of these titles. That’s why it doesn’t seem ridiculous to suggest that they may be quietly discontinued during 2024.

The focus given to singles stars in the Women’s division such as Rhea Ripley, Iyo Sky and Bianca Belair has shown that Triple H and the creative team are more confident in showcasing their female stars as individuals.

Perhaps the introduction of a “mid-card” Women’s Championship would replace the creative hole that removing the tag straps would leave? Regardless, discontinuing the Women’s Tag Team Championships would be a decision that’s unlikely to garner a lot of pushback, and would - hopefully - allow for further development for the women’s roster.
