10 Booking Decisions AEW Should Make Before Double Or Nothing 2023

7. Stop Signing So Many Wrestlers

Several years back, Vince McMahon began stockpiling talent so AEW couldn't get its hands on them. In retrospect, WWE should receive some kind of public service award, because Tony Khan has gone wild between 2020-2022. His signing policy is simple: SIGN. F**KING. EVERYBODY.

Currently, the AEW roster houses a whopping 139 wrestlers. Some of those are serving suspensions and others are out injured, but man - do you think that's enough?! The promotion's weekly output is two hours of Dynamite, one hour of Rampage and other supplemental programming like Dark and Dark: Elevation.

There isn't enough TV time to go around for one hundred and thirty nine workers.

Nobody's advocating to see some lose their gig, but few tears would be shed if AEW trimmed the roster sheets. Failing that, just stop adding more wrestlers to it. This is getting ridiculous now, and it's hard to keep track of who's actually in that locker room.
