10 Booking Decisions WWE Must Make Before WrestleMania 39
7. Shayna Baszler Challenges Ronda Rousey
Here's another simple reason why Charlotte Flair shouldn't be feuding with Ronda Rousey again: Shayna Baszler has her eye on that spot. Where else could this MMA-infused union between the real-life friends be heading? It has competitive implosion written all over it heading into the spring months.
This writer actually thinks the Rousey/Baszler combo has the kind of potential Bayley and Sasha Banks did, but WWE's timing could work against them. The company has done a poor job of finding Ronda credible opponents since she won the SmackDown Women's belt back from Liv Morgan, so Shayna may be their only real option.
It's a good one, in fairness.
Baszler has always deserved better than she's got on the main roster since moving up from NXT. She's had TV time, sure, but most of it has been silly stuff with Nia Jax, Alexa Bliss etc. Now, perhaps for the first time, she has a serious singles feud she can really sink her teeth into.
