10 Booking Decisions WWE Must Make Before WrestleMania 39
6. Elimination Chamber Looks Beyond ‘Mania
Sorry, Saudi Arabia, but you ain't getting Elimination Chamber this time. The 2023 version belongs to Canada, and Chamber 2K23 will actually be WWE's first supershow in Montreal since Breaking Point way back in late-2009. That honestly feels like a bloody lifetime ago, eh?
So, what do WWE do in February? They may well stick the Undisputed WWE Universal Title in one of the Chamber bouts, or even run one for a Women's Title. Or, they could stick six superstars in those pods and have them scrap it out to become number one contender after WrestleMania 39.
Yes, after it.
That'd solve the nasty annual problem of finding fresh challengers for champs immediately after April's massive stadium shows. Establishing Seth Rollins, for example, as the guy who'll challenge whomever the top champ is post-'Mania sounds like a killer idea for the pay-per-view.
This would also give Elimination Chamber some lasting impact throughout the year rather than acting as a speedbump.
