Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D is finally the AEW Women's World Champion. She's going to take the women's division to new heights, and in doing so, make her rivalry vs. Thunder Rosa the defining AEW women's rivalry.
Their initial outing at Beach Break was a superb spectacle, living up to the expectations that fans had for the match. At St. Patrick's Day Slam, however, they broke the glass ceiling. They became AEW's first women's main event, rather fittingly, while also becoming the first women to receive the Lights Out stipulation, doing so to the greatest possible degree. But now, they've got to take that one step further.
That doesn't necessarily mean they have to go into steel cage matches or inside the Blood & Guts structure; they simply need to be one of, if not the greatest asset of a show. You saw the reception they got following the Lights Out match. Tony Khan is clearly keen to make something of 'The Doctor'.
By placing her against Rosa in a title feud, you're legitimately laying the base for something along the lines of Ric Flair vs. Ricky Steamboat. Baker and Rosa are simply that good at what they do. They deserve to main event a pay-per-view, and quite frankly, they likely will.
