The contendership match against Seth Rollins would be Roman's first televised match since Battleground. On commentary, Michael Cole, JBL and Byron Saxton would be absolutely in the dark over what Reigns is up to, saying they never expected someone so strong to act this way.

At the same time, they are excited to see a huge match on Monday Night Raw, pitting two of the biggest stars on the brand against one another. That would be a match Reigns was destined to win, again becoming the top challenge for Dean Ambrose. The WWE Title bout for SummerSlam would then be set, Ambrose vs. Reigns in a crazy culmination of their rocky relationship.

Again winning with the Superman Punch, Roman would once more simply leave through the crowd. There would be no elaborate celebrations, but he'd shake his head, this time at the fans.

In promos afterwards, Roman succinctly utters just two words when quizzed on his recent actions. "I'm peerless" would be his mantra, at once signifying his lone wolf status and distaste at how fans had snubbed him.
