10 Booking Steps For Shane McMahon In AEW

4. Shane McMahon Corrupts Some AEW Turncoats

Being perceived as too powerful to oppose, AEW stars would find themselves thinking the old saying: "If you can't beat them, join them."

The McMahons are great talkers with silver tongues. That persuasiveness should be exhibited in Shane's ability to lure people who would otherwise normally be faithful to Team AEW or Team Elite—which should still be going on at this time—to join his faction instead.

Perhaps the best suited for this role would be Ricky Starks, who has had similar speculation to MJF surrounding him for a long while that he could leave AEW in favor of WWE. Assuming that isn't the case, and he's around long enough for this to play out, this could play into that perception.

If he's not on the table, any number of others could fill this role. Sammy Guevara, Ortiz, Daniel Garcia, Anthony Ogogo and more could all fit the bill.

As long as they're looked at as defectors and traitors to the company, even if they're more on the enhancement talent side like an Angelico or Kip Sabian could be, it would tell the story that history is repeating itself with how the nWo started to get more followers who had deserted WCW as time went on.
