2. The Finish
Shane scrambles back into the ring and covers, but he is able to kick out. Cena is now inside the Cell at ringside and hands Shane a steel chair. Shane executes a coast to coast Van Terminator to a huge reaction from the crowd, but Taker kicks out. Cena enters the ring again, hitting another AA on Taker. Shane then does his elbow drop, but again Taker kicks out. Undertaker sits up, with Cena and Shane selling with a "holy s***" expression. Cena runs in, but Taker puts him down with a chokeslam. Shane decides to make a break for it and exits the Cell, scrambling up onto the roof, much to the crowd's delight. Taker of course follows him up, but there's no way Shane is doing a high spot off the Cell in the post-Benoit PG Era. As Shane teases jumping, Taker makes it up and grabs him by the throat. He then hits a Tombstone on the Cell roof. He makes the cover and the ref counts the one, two, three. Shane has failed.
