7. The Rock Responds

Later in that same edition of Raw, WWE would reveal that The Rock has been in touch and will have a response for The Undertaker on next week's episode. That's a smart way for WWE to book, advertising one of their biggest stars a week in advance. It is a way of securing viewers. When the next week's Raw rolls around, Rocky would appear via video link-up. It is another smart move to save his actual appearances so that they have more impact. On the video, he'd tell Taker that all was fair in the Rumble. He'd reveal that he wasn't helping Roman Reigns, but that his own momentum had simply carried himself and 'Taker over the ropes. "Don't blame me, Deadman, blame yourself for for not realising the only thing dead is your ability to stand toe to toe with The Great One", he'd blast. Then, in a typical Undertaker supernatural angle, Rocky's satellite feed would cut off. Upon resuming, Rock would find himself surrounded by Undertaker's symbol scrawled on his walls. The feed would then cut again, ending the segment.
