In an earlier promo, Roman Reigns could hint that he's battered and bruised from last week. Interrupting the interview, Stephanie McMahon says that Reigns shouldn't think about getting himself counted out, because this match against Seth Rollins is a No Disqualification battle. Therefore, he has no choice but to try and win.

Come crunch time, Reigns is almost apologetic to his former Shield stablemate. Pushed into an awkward situation by McMahon, Roman and Rollins are left with no other option than to fight for the win. Specifically, Seth needs the victory if he wants to have any hope of winning the Royal Rumble.

Pushing one another to the limit, Roman grows frustrated when he sees Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho standing on the entrance ramp. Meanwhile, Rollins is focused on the task at hand and is fighting for his WrestleMania dream.

Trying to spoil things for both men, JeriKO interfere. In the melee, Reigns manages to hit a Superman Punch and Spear combo on Rollins for the win. Afterwards, he seems sympathetic towards Seth's situation.
