10 Booking Steps For WWE Raw (June 13)
WWE have the chance to set the tone for SummerSlam on Raw...
Come the next edition of Monday Night Raw, WWE will only have 5 hours of television time left before Money In The Bank. That's still enough to properly hype things, but there's work to be done if the company expect people to be pumped up for the pay-per-view. Most notably, the show's main event is severely lacking in excitement.
It appears management simply believed announcing Seth Rollins vs. Roman Reigns was enough, because they've done precious little since Extreme Rules in terms of build. That will hopefully change this coming Monday, as both Rollins and Reigns join their former Shield buddy on the Ambrose Asylum.
Something meaningful has to happen during that segment, setting the tone not only for Money In The Bank, but also SummerSlam beyond that.
In other feuds, expect WWE to announce at least one more match to pad out the pay-per-view card, probably involving the women on the roster. There's also the opportunity to book an ideal match for the Kickoff show, further rounding out the schedule.
Money In The Bank is looming, and Raw represents WWE's last big chance to add to the card. Let's see what the creative team may have in store...
10. Shane & Stephanie Announce Massive Main Event
The whole issue between Shane and Stephanie McMahon has been placed on the back burner in recent weeks, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't still appear on screen sporadically. If nothing else, this would keep them in the minds of fans before things surely kick off heading into SummerSlam next month.
Opening the program, the siblings could discuss the impending matches at Money In The Bank. Most notably, they'd bring up The New Day defending the WWE Tag-Team Titles and John Cena facing AJ Styles, leading into their next announcement. Letting his sister take the honours, Shane would smile as Stephanie delivered the news.
In the main event on Raw, Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson and Styles face The New Day and Cena in 6-man tag-team action. Elsewhere, some of the Money In The Bank competitors will square off in an exciting Triple Threat match, pitting Sami Zayn, Chris Jericho and Cesaro against one another.
From there, the brother and sister duo could hype Apollo Crews, and state he's in action next against Kalisto.
