5. Neville Ambushes Austin Aries After Aries Beats Tony Nese

The return of Austin Aries to an active wrestling role is one that should be welcomed by anybody who witnessed his tremendous work in ROH and TNA.

It's far from ideal that the veteran is being positioned as babyface foil for Neville (Aries is definitely more comfortable when playing the role of braggart heel), but at least he will have a featured in-ring role right in time for WrestleMania; Aries has been deserving of a 'Mania slot for years, so it's heartening to think he will get one in 2017.

On 205 Live, Aries had a sterling match with Tony Nese, and it's that bout which merits a re-airing live on Monday Night Raw; it's likely few who watch Raw regularly tune into the Cruiserweight show, meaning many will have missed the well-worked Aries vs. Nese action entirely.

This segment of Raw doesn't need to be especially long, nor does it need to be complex. The best way to play things is to have Aries defeat Nese in another tidy match and then suffer an ambush from the 'King Of The Cruiserweights' Neville post-match.
