In the first match of the night, Sami Zayn would turn over Ryback in a back-and-forth match. The announcers could sell Ryback's frustration over not being able to beat Kalisto at Payback, and 'The Big Guy' would look utterly focused on beating Zayn. His impatience would cost him in the end.

At Payback, it'd be cool to see Kevin Owens cheat to defeat Zayn. The pair work really well together, and fans have been dying to see them go at it for the longest time on the main roster in a one-on-one scenario. Payback was their chance, and after he defeated Ryback that could be Sami's main bone of contention with Owens.

He cheated to win, instead of finding out who the better man is. Therefore, in Zayn's mind, there's only one way to settle things. At Extreme Rules, he wants KO in an 'Extreme Rules' Match, so that they can settle things once and for all.

Coming out to confront his foe, Owens would tell Zayn and the fans that he'll consider it, before throwing down the microphone and smugly walking away.
