10 Booking Steps For WWE Raw (Nov 23)

7. Alberto Del Rio Says He Will Become WWE Champion

One feud that seems to have been lost in the mix over the past few weeks is Alberto Del Rio vs. Jack Swagger. The latter had looked set to challenge for the WWE United States Title at Survivor Series, before the game changed entirely once Seth Rollins went down with injury. That rivalry could be brought up once again on Monday Night Raw, but it seems unlikely to play a big part going forward. If Triple H announces that Del Rio is involved in the WWE Title picture at TLC, it wouldn't really make sense for him to lose to Jack Swagger. The pair would have a hotly-contested match, one that the Mexican comes out on top of. From there, Del Rio could cut a promo reminding everyone that it is his destiny to become WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Swagger was always going to be a bit of a comedown for Del Rio following his return to WWE and victory over John Cena at Hell In A Cell. He's one of the top heels the promotion have under contract right now, so he should be treated as such. Being United States Champ doesn't mean being restricted to mid card feuds, John Cena changed the landscape for the belt.
