10 Booking Steps For WWE Raw (Oct 10)
4. Braun Strowman Interferes In Cruiserweight Action
Grabbing Byron Saxton by the throat, Braun Strowman outright demanded that he be handed better competition on Monday Night Raw. It's high time that WWE had started to get the ball rolling on something bigger for Strowman, he couldn't simply squash local talent forever. That story must be furthered this coming week.
Earlier, T.J Perkins would have defeated Cedric Alexander. Imagine there's another Cruiserweight-style match on the same Raw broadcast, that could be the ideal spot for Braun to make his presence felt. To do so, he'd have to come out during the middle of the bout and completely ruin it.
Foley has been talking up the Cruiserweight division, so it makes logical sense that Strowman wants to use it in order to get the General Manager's attention. Hammering those in the ring and destroying their spotlight, Braun calls out Foley and warns him that there will be hell to pay should he have to ask again.
A line like that one does a lot to sell the threatening nature of Strowman as a character, also subtly hinting at the upcoming pay-per-view. He should never do what he's told.
