Hall Of Famer BLASTS TKO Group's Leadership Of WWE (WWE News)
Legendary former WWE Champion calls WrestleMania 42 experience under TKO "soulless".
Kevin Nash has criticised TKO's handling of WrestleMania 42 by describing his experience over that weekend in Las Vegas as "soulless". The former WWE Champion was speaking via his 'Kliq This' podcast - he and co-host Sean Oliver went deep into the weeds on the actual numbers surrounding TKO's management of the company.
They make for impressive reading (gross revenue has gone up year on year since TKO took over), but Nash believes that has come at a cultural cost for WWE. Whilst he "understands that the bottom line is that it's a business", he doesn't think TKO has the same respect for those who built the industry as Vince McMahon generally did.
To that point, he specifically picked out both Steve Austin and The Undertaker as examples. Kev doesn't reckon TKO looks at those stars of the past the same way McMahon might've were he still in charge. Of course, at the same time, it is definitely difficult to argue against soaring profit margins and millions of dollars rolling into WWE tills.
That's something TKO top brass would surely claim is most important, but Nash obviously believes they could be doing a better job of managing people and WWE history. In an interesting moment, Kevin also referred to the umbrella overseers as "The Adjustment Bureau".
When asked for a quote to sum up his feelings, Nash added: "It’s almost kind of like having a president that has no experience in warfare, that just doesn’t kind of get it". That's how he views TKO overall.
