10 Booking Steps For WWE Raw (Oct 17)
1. Seth Rollins & The New Day Beat Kevin Owens, Cesaro, & Sheamus
A match announced earlier in the evening by Kevin Owens during that backstage altercation with Chris Jericho, this would be a fine way to cap off Monday Night Raw. WWE always love combining ongoing feuds into the one bout, something that can be achieved by having Seth Rollins team with members of The New Day against Kevin Owens, Sheamus and Cesaro in a 6-man tag encounter.
Of course, Cesaro and Sheamus are at loggerheads throughout the match. This annoys Owens, who ends up feeling like he has to take on the opposite team all by himself. Strangely, on the other side Kofi Kingston, Big E, and Xavier Woods are having a hard time keeping Rollins from just running over to attack KO.
This leads to mass confusion, allowing Owens to attack Rollins at some point on the outside as he deliberates with New Day. Then, as the match roars to a conclusion, KO is left all on his own when Sheamus walks out on Cesaro and the Swiss star follows him to the back seeking an explanation.
In the end, Rollins pins Owens due to the numbers disadvantage. Oddly, Chris Jericho is nowhere to be found.
