10 Booking Steps To A Shield Triple Threat At WrestleMania 32
6. Ambrose And Reigns Feud Over The Summer
Jealous that another Shield stablemate is quickly ascending to the WWE World Heavyweight Championship picture, Reigns takes it upon himself to punish Ambrose for beating him at Money In The Bank. Sticking to The Shield's old adage of being 'The Hounds Of Justice' (Reigns is still trying to hang on to the good old days, taking into account his entrance and wrestling attire haven't evolved since the group disbanded) he makes it his Summer mission to destroy Ambrose at every available opportunity. As his new heel persona develops more and more, Reigns reverts to his early Shield character of being a silent but deadly brute who is tired of being booed, tired of being told he isn't good enough, and tired of others getting the adoration while he's stuck in the background. In his eyes, people loved him most when he was The Muscle Of The Shield getting cheered against Batista at the Royal Rumble and garnering huge reactions when spearing The Undertaker through a barricade. So he gets more vicious as time wears on, and despite beating Ambrose at Battleground, he still seeks to further harm him in a last man standing match at Summerslam, where he comes up short after a hellacious battle with the Lunatic Fringe.
