10 Boring WWE Feuds That Dragged On WAY Too Long
1. Roman Reigns Vs. Baron Corbin
While Baron Corbin holds the title of King of the Ring, he also holds the title of king of artificially extended feuds.
In the later stages of 2019, we saw Roman Reigns become entangled in a feud with Baron Corbin. At the time, we had no idea that this feud would last a good 3-4 months. Not only that, it would become the top feud of the Smackdown brand.
The feud began boiling over at Crown Jewel when Roman’s team took on Corbin’s team. Following this, the two became embroiled in a feud during Survivor Series, with each man wanting to captain team SmackDown to victory. While the match was great, mainly thanks to NXT’s involvement, fans could see that we were in for a long term story between the pair.
Then came the infamous dog food angle. For whatever reason, WWE decided to build this feud around dog food because... Roman Reigns is the Big Dog? This happened in the build to TLC, where Corbin claimed a victory of Reigns in a bland, plodding TLC match.
The two continued feuding into Royal Rumble season leading into the pay-per-view. Reigns managed to defeat Corbin in a monotonous Falls Count Anywhere match. You would think that would have ended the feud?
Nope. The pair continued their dog food infused feud all the way through to the end of February, where the rivalry FINALLY ended with Reigns winning a Steel Cage match. This rivalry was so drawn out it made watching weekly episodes of SmackDown unbearable. A truly awful feud.
