10. Scott Steiner vs. Triple H (WWE Royal Rumble 2003)
WWE hired Scott Steiner well over a year too late. Had 'Big Poppa Pump' waltzed onto then-WWF screens during the height of 'Invasion' storyline, it could have been memorable. Sadly, by the time he did enter in late-2002, the buzz of seeing former WCW stars in the promotion had worn off. Steiner didn't help his cause by having back-to-back duds against Triple H. In fairness, Scott Steiner can't take all of the blame. Triple H was hardly living up to his side of the bargain, and the result would end up being matches that fans wanted to forget as soon as they were finished. The first took place at the 2003 Royal Rumble, and it wasn't the best start for Steiner as a WWE headliner. The match was dreary and dull, providing little in the way of entertainment. Putting things into context, Scott Steiner vs. Triple H lasted for around the same time as Kurt Angle vs. Chris Benoit from the same event. Whereas the latter match was a complete stunner, the World Heavyweight Title showdown between 'The Game' and 'Freakzilla' didn't click. Awkward and uncoordinated, these men were not a good fit.
