With all his alter-egos in WWE, Bray Wyatt became the master of re-invention, a performer whose many personas have been structured in a comic-book-like framework, much like many supernatural characters of the past.

It is rare, however, to see such a gimmick be designed with the multi-layered depth, brought to life by Bray Wyatt’s innovative imagination. He is a dark creature of the night, a satanic prince hell-bent on demented domination. This obsession with evil makes the legendary Sting the perfect storybook foe for The Fiend. Sadly, during Sting’s short time with WWE in 2015, unforeseen circumstances prevented a program with Wyatt from becoming a reality, if those plans were ever in the works.

This one above any Bray Wyatt dream match that never was, would be the easiest to book. Sting is the epitome of the heroic savior, a purist babyface, as the gothic prince with the oozing charisma to stand up to any maniacal villain. A better tale of good vs. evil could not be told perhaps anywhere else in wrestling, than between Bray Wyatt and Sting.

Wyatt himself has made no secret of his immense desire to face Sting one day, and it likely remains at the top of his bucket list. With his release from WWE potentially paving a path to AEW in the immediate future, there could still be plenty of time for this clash of titans to come to life.
