10 Bray Wyatt Matches We Never Got In WWE
5. Drew McIntyre
When Bray Wyatt debuted his ghoulish Fiend alter-ego at Summerslam 2019, he began a run that saw him battle several of WWE’s top stars, in bouts that always drew mass interest from the wrestling world. At the same time, Drew McIntyre was slowly simmering into the company’s headline babyface megastar. Once the dashing Scotsman became WWE Champion at WrestleMania 36, it appeared inevitable that the two badasses would cross paths.
They never did.
In fact, never before have Bray Wyatt and Drew McIntyre face off one-on-one, whilst under contract with WWE. Not even when McIntyre was part of 3MB, did he job to the annihilation of the backwoods cult leader, nor have they come to blows when becoming main event players.
Strangely, the closest the duo came to clashing in a burly rivalry was a pair of dark Steel Cage matches for the WWE Championship. Despite this, they never fought on television. That is quite puzzling to think about.
If Drew McIntyre’s 2020 WWE Title reign had one glowing criticism, it would be how his summer feud with Randy Orton became damagingly overblown. There were far too many pay-per-view matches between the pair, and Drew could have benefited from tangling with some different foes, to really breathe some life into a challenging championship tenure.
The Fiend could have easily stepped in to save Drew here, and no doubt this match would have been sensational.
