10 Brutal Realisations About WWE Network's Holy Foley!

6. Mick Foley Isn't As Funny As He Thinks

Mick Noelle Foley
Holy Foley

A multi-time WWF Champion, a multi-time NY Times bestselling author and recently a stand-up performer in training, Mick Foley has nothing more left to prove in the eyes of many sports-entertainment fans. The one thing that Foley would benefit from is a little bit of reservation when it comes to utilising his brand of humour.

Quite frankly, he's just not as funny as he thinks he is.

Don't get me wrong, for pro-wrestling fans, Mick's got a couple acceptable jokes and puns, but none of his material is remotely close to validating a travelling stand-up tour that was previously featured on the WWE Network. If it wasn't for his name and his accomplishments in the entertainment world outside of comedy, Foley would've never been given a one-man show opportunity simply because his material just isn't worth it.

With that said, Foley too often crowbars his sense of humour into Holy Foley! and it becomes tiring.

Mick has done it all in wrestling, but in the unflinchingly critical world of comedy, not so much. The former WWF Champion has a good sense of humor and it's obviously better than your average wrestler, but Eddie Murphy (or even Charlie Murphy), he is not, and he'd benefit from reducing the application of his comedic skills.

We love ya, Mick, just reel it in a notch.
