10 Brutal Realisations About WWE Network's Holy Foley!

3. The Show Is A Vehicle To Create A New WWE Superstar

As previously stated, it's clear that Holy Foley! is a vehicle to help get Noelle Foley over as a WWE personality.

This isn't the first time WWE has used a non-traditional wrestling show as an attempt to create a new star. Shows like Tough Enough, Total Divas, and Breaking Ground have previously been used to position new acts within the company, but what makes Holy Foley! more offensive is WWE's attempt to disguise it.

With each season of Tough Enough, the show advertised the development of at least one new superstar, but with Holy Foley!, WWE is advertising family hi-jinx and an inside glimpse into the supposed life of the Foleys.

If the content was even half as entertaining and organic as WWE had hoped for it to be, the show might've been received better. As it is, most fans can see through the obvious agenda that WWE has with the release of Holy Foley! and it's become a huge turn-off.

Why not just produce a show centred around Mick training his daughter as she embarks on a career with WWE? It'd be a lot more direct and much less carny-like by being up front with the purpose of the show.
