10 Brutal Wrestling Moments To Show Non-Fans

9. Brock Lesnar Brings The Real To Extreme Rules Match

By the time Brock Lesnar returned to WWE in 2012, the promotion had changed in pretty much ever way since his last appearance in 2004. The company now came with a 'PG' rating, something which outlawed blood, foul language, nudity and many of the other aspects of programming Lesnar had been used to seeing in the company. Naturally, this new doctrine didn't stop him from using extreme violence during his very first match back. For those who were watching regularly at the time, Brock was like a breath of fresh air. His moves looked vicious, his strikes dangerous, and there was a foreboding atmosphere following him around. Lesnar stood out and had an aura, which he continues to have today. For non-fans, they may recognise him as a former UFC Heavyweight Champion, which adds a little legitimacy to WWE. Sit down someone who thinks wrestling looks ridiculous and have them watch Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena from Extreme Rules 2012. Their smirk will surely soon change into widened eyes, a slack jaw and questions about 'blood capsules'. There were none on display, of course, as Lesnar and Cena battered one another senseless in the show's main event, resulting in both bleeding the hard way.
