"Perhaps looking for an even better pay day? How about a singles match with AJ? - H.

With that line on a recent episode of Being The Elite, it's clear the prospect of having a match with AJ Styles is on the mind of Kenny Omega. Even after all he's accomplished and could accomplish outside of WWE, is it possible that he could turn his back on it all, sign at last with Vince McMahon, and have that dream one-on-one match with the Phenomenal One?

Even the most ardent Elite supporter, who would rather chop off a finger than see them in WWE's clutches, has likely thought about the idea of an Omega-Styles singles match. The only time the two have faced one-on-one on record is a PCW match in Winnipeg from 2006. 12 years later, and Styles and Omega couldn't be more different. Both have amassed reputations as two of the best wrestlers in the world, and their resumes attest to that praise. Both men have held the IWGP Heavyweight Championship, with Kenny currently holding the strap and Styles is closing in on a year-long run with his second reign as WWE Champion.

Many people who think of WWE/New Japan dream matches were burned by Styles' disappointing series with Nakamura, but surely, most will agree that Kenny Omega is on a level higher than anyone. If the impossible happens and the Elite sign with WWE, the company would be fools not to push a main event feud between Omega and Styles.
