10 Bullet Club Elite Vs. WWE Dream Matches We'd Like To See
5. Roman Reigns Vs. Cody
Time was, WWE management would have laughed the idea of Cody Rhodes as a main event foil to Roman Reigns, especially at the time he left the company, when lumbered his goofy Stardust gimmick.
Well, two years and change can do a lot to improve a wrestler's stock, and Cody is the shining example of it. Should the Elite come to WWE, the company would be foolish not to treat each man, including Cody, as a megastar free agent signing. The story is natural in its depth and resonance: Cody, the prodigal son, leaving WWE behind and coming back for more money and fame. It's a good foil for someone like, say, Roman Reigns, who many would argue has been a company stalwart from day one, and who has held down the fort and done his job without complaint...and by many, we mean Vince.
Still, the dynamic of top dog vs. traitor would be interesting to see play out. Plus, Cody and Reigns have their history, as the two participated in highly acclaimed tag matches against each other in 2013 when Reigns was in the Shield and Cody was teaming with Goldust.
However, both men are older and better now, and a singles match between them in a main event setting would certainly deliver to WWE's bar of quality.
