10 Burning Questions For WWE Raw (Oct 3)

5. Can WWE Figure Out Top Of Card?

Soooo… last week’s Raw didn’t have a main event scheduled before Enzo Amore & Big Cass stepped up to challenge Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens? That’s a pretty bad situation all around.

Even worse, the “main event” tag match we got was the same bout we saw at SummerSlam, but with no notice or real setup. Jeri-KO were in the ring running their mouths at Seth Rollins as he was led off, and Enzo & Cass emerged and announced they were granted a tag match. There were no stipulations, no conditions, no building to this match. It was just a case of Enzo & Cass picking a fight randomly.

Owens is an awesome character, but it feels like something is way off about him as champ (not like he doesn’t deserve it), and it might have a lot to do with Rollins as the alleged babyface challenger. The Architect is pissed because he’s not the McMahon’s golden boy, which isn’t really enough to make him a babyface. Yes, WWE was doing a slow burn turn with Rollins, but dropping him right into a world title feud with a new champ that fans want to cheer (Owens is just that awesome) makes for some blurred lines.

Throw in that the writing has been awful recently (as mentioned, look at last week’s main event segment) and you have a recipe for a top of the card that is confusing rather than clicking. WWE needs to get this in line and flowing better.
