10 Burning Questions For WWE Royal Rumble 2017

4. Who Will Get The Diesel Push?

This is an annual question that is always a fun one to speculate about.

In the 1994 Rumble, Diesel entered and began tossing men left and right, eliminating seven in all and gaining a following that turned a flagging WWE career into an eventual world championship and career rebirth. Since then, the “Diesel Push” is something fans wonder about each year. We saw Steve Austin eliminate 10 in 1997, Rikishi bounce seven in 2000, Kane toss 11 in 2001, CM Punk get rid of seven in 2011, and Roman Reigns eliminate 12 in 2014.

None of those guys went on to become world champ at that year’s WrestleMania. The Diesel Push is different than that. So who are the likely candidates for such a push this year? Braun Strowman has to top the list. Goldberg could clear the ring easily, as could Brock Lesnar or Undertaker. Even Big Show could toss a few leading to his Mania showdown with Shaq.

Or could it be an unlikely superstar, like Sami Zayn, Dean Ambrose or Mojo Rawley who tosses six or seven guys in a surprising turn.
