6. Legends With JBL

JBL, reputed bully and regular Tuesday night rambler, wasn't the obvious choice to be WWE's Parky, unless the idea was to have him intimidate interviewees into answering the tough questions. Yet despite his justifiable reputation as the company's resident prick, the former Acolyte proved surprisingly effective in the role of host for the Network's pseudo-shoot chinwags with Legends with JBL.

Bradshaw's sit-down show was unexpectedly absorbing, despite essentially being a vehicle to allow WWE to produce 'insider' interviews with business legends (plus the Road Dogg) tailored to their own narrative. Seemingly at ease with the industry vet, a host of venerated guests opened up for the first time on WWE television, including previous persona non gratae such as Alundra Blayze and Bruno Sammartino.

We didn't exactly learn anything fresh from the programme, and some guests got an easy ride when parlaying their own version of history, but it was nevertheless one of the most insightful shows on the Network, making it completely baffling when it was seemingly ended for no apparent reason.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
