10 Cancelled WWE Shows

4. Tuesday Night Titans

It's hard to say whether Tuesday Night Titans was a parody of late-night US talk shows with the tongue firmly planted in the cheek, or a genuine, desperate attempt from Vince McMahon to fully plant his flag in the 'entertainment' portion of 'sports entertainment'.

It was almost certainly the latter, in spite of Lord Alfred Hayes acting as a co-host plus featuring segments including André the Giant impersonating a fish, Kamala 'eating' a live chicken, and the legendary Fuji Vice skits. Think Knowing Me, Knowing You, Vince the perfect Alan Partridge.

Actual wrestling barely featured, which was something of a blessing given this was mid-80s WWE. As a platform for superstars to connect with the audience away from the action, it was absolutely golden. A genuinely entertaining concept, it's the sort of programming the modern day WWE, unsure of its identity, sorely lacks.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
