Shayna Baszler is a pioneer in women's MMA, but over the past year, she's embarked on a new quest - professional wrestling. Her quick skill and success in the sport earned her a tryout with WWE last week, putting her future in the company's hands.

First making her MMA debut in 2003, Baszler would go on to compete for groups like EliteXC, Strikeforce, and Invicta Fighting Championships. In 2013, Baszler made her UFC debut as part of the cast of the 18th season of The Ultimate Fighter, losing to eventual winner Julianna Peña. Following two more UFC losses, Baszler was cut from the organization.

With a 15-10 MMA record, Baszler decided to put the sport to the side for the time being and focus on professional wrestling. She made her debut in September of 2015 and has since gone on to compete for companies like Stardom and Shimmer. Last month, she won the Absolutely Intense Wrestling Women's Championship.

As both a "name" competitor and a legitimate fighter, Baszler wouldn't just be an ideal contender for the Women's Classic - she'd be a top candidate to win the whole thing.
