10 Celebrities WWE Continues To Ignore For Hall Of Fame
6. Andy Kaufman
If the WWE Hall of Fame is supposed to be about wrestling history then Kaufman has to be in. The angle he did with Jerry Lawler on David Letterman's show is one of the best things done that garnered mainstream press for wrestling. People believed it when Lawler attacked him on the set. That was Kaufman that got people to buy into it. Also the fact that WWE has employed Jerry Lawler for over 20 years shouldn't be ignored. He could tell some great stories about Kaufman's work in that angle. They really did some revolutionary stuff that likely could never be duplicated. http://youtu.be/G1f2_01URYQ The fact that they made a movie about the man and included the wrestling angle with Lawler in the movie shows that not only was he a well respected, big star in Hollywood, but very talented too. Some say he was a comedic genius. Perhaps WWE feels like including something they didn't book that was over 30 years ago isn't worth honoring, but Kaufman's place in history deserves to be recognized.
