10 Celebrities WWE Continues To Ignore For Hall Of Fame

5. Floyd Mayweather Jr.

When WWE signed Floyd Mayweather to compete at WrestleMania 24 in 2008 they did so because they were on a big celebrity kick at that event. For whatever reason, they felt the need to bring in Kim Kardashian, Snoop Dogg and boxing great Floyd Mayweather. The angle to bring in Mayweather was pretty good as he got in an altercation with Big Show about one month earlier and that started their rivalry. In the build up to WM24, it appeared as though Floyd was the face in the scenario, but then he decided to go into business for himself by acting like a jerk. Fans started to hate him. It should have been an easy story to tell with him as the smaller guy trying to beat the giant, but kept on acting the wrong way. Mayweather got the win like he was supposed to and it was impressive. It's just that it didn't go exactly as planned because WWE figured he would get cheered a lot more than he did. Mayweather returned to WWE in 2009 as a guest host, so it's not like WWE totally hated the guy. It would be a smart move to put him in just because he's still an active boxer that has never lost in his pro career. However, it was his odd behavior in 2008 that is probably keeping him out.
