10 Changes That’d Happen If AEW's Tony Khan Bought WWE

5. A Monster AEW Vs. WWE PPV?

Of course, some form of 'AEW vs. WWE' pay-per-view would do monster business.

WWE's Invasion show in 2001 pulled in 775,000 buys during the traditional PPV days, for example, and that came months after it became clear that Vinnie Mac didn't have all of WCW's main players. In 2023 or 2024, a successfully-planned 'Us vs. Them' show would surely ignite serious interest from fans.

Seeing Triple H lead the charge on AEW programming sounds like something from your WWE 2K22 Universe Mode save files, but loads of things in recent pro wrestling history sounded daft before they actually happened. It'd be foolish to discount anything these days.

Tony would have to be out of his mind to ignore the money-spinning potential of 'AEW vs. WWE'. That, even just a few short years into All Elite's existence, has the chops to earn massive wads of cash for everyone concerned. It'd be worth trying as a one-off, if nothing else.
