8. Differentiate The Brands
Besides the colours red and blue, Raw and SmackDown Live! are basically one in the same. Despite being labelled as opposing "brands", it all just looks like plain old WWE to everyone.
Simple changes would go such a long way in terms of differentiating these two shows. Change up the sets so that the shows don't look the exact same, and in turn, change up the production style for one of that show too. You could keep Raw's layout the same and let them have the multiple camera-cuts and crowd shots, then on SmackDown Live! bring in a swooping camera that captures from more angles and only uses that and the hard camera.
Maybe make Raw more of the soap-opera type show with in-depth stories while SmackDown Live! focuses more on simple stories with fantastic wrestling. These are just immediate examples, WWE could delve way deeper into the writing and structure for each show to vary the two up as much as possible.
If you want to sell the concept of "Raw vs. SmackDown", you're going to have to make sure there's actually two sides to the fight.
