10 Changes WWE Will Make Post-Vince McMahon

8. No More Over-Produced Commentary

Triple H Vince McMahon
WWE

Michael Cole deserves a medal, man. No, seriously - the "voice of WWE" gets a lot of sh*t from fans, but he does a job that many of the best (including Jim Ross, Gorilla Monsoon and Excalibur) probs couldn't stomach. Namely, Cole has dealt with Vince's micro-management of the commentary team mid-show.

Not only that, but MC has also paid attention to all the little sponsorship messages, "X is trending on Twitter" and silly little 'WWE speak' moments. It's not a hospital, it's a "local medical facility". They're not wrestlers, they're "performers". That's not a belt, it's a "championship". Etc etc.

Surely, WWE's announcers can finally breathe easy.

Someone will still be on talkback for them behind the curtain, but they likely won't be as militant or pernickety as McMahon was. It'd be great to see guys like Cole left to their own devices - he's shown alongside Pat McAfee that he's capable of having fun out there without pleasing an audience of one.
