10 Changes WWE Will Make Post-Vince McMahon

7. More Freedom During Promos

The exact same could be said for the wrestlers themselves.

Cody Rhodes' return promo on the Raw after WrestleMania 38 will be looked back on as a highlight of 2022. The ex-AEW man cut a passionate figure as he spoke of his father Dusty's legacy and how he wanted to make him proud. It was that freedom and grounded reality that made the segment so engaging.

Far too many WWE interviews/promos have become over-scripted messes that make workers look like scared rabbits in headlights. F*ck even one line up, and you'll be judged for it. That ups the pressure without reason, and it turns most of these talking bits into robotic skits that go through the motions.

Hopefully, someone like Triple H can put the roster at ease and reveal that WWE won't be scripting out absolutely everything for them. Sure, they'll get bullet points, but that's surely all the company's men and women need. Let them speak from the heart, for crying out loud.
