10 Christmas Gifts Every WWE Fan Wants

10. More Serious Announcing

No wrestling fan can deny that Jerry 'The King' Lawler is one of the most legendary figures in WWE history. Making his debut in the promotion way back in 1993, Lawler had previously been one of the hottest tickets on the card during the territorial days of the business. Since the mid-90's, Lawler has had a blast sitting at ringside, working mainly as a colour commentator. Forming a widely-loved duo with fellow WWE Hall Of Fame inductee, Jim Ross, the pair were a complete riot, only adding to the vibrant product being presented during the vaunted 'Attitude Era'. Unfortunately, Mother Nature doesn't sit still, and it's clear that Lawler's hammy style is outdated within the realms of the current WWE product. Not aiding his case are fellow announcers, Michael Cole and JBL - the trio seem more interested in cutting lame jokes at ringside, rather than focusing on the matches or stories begging to be explored. Fans have been frustrated with the current announce set-up for a while now, and it's high time sweeping changes were made to the WWE play-by-play squad. Looking at how UFC present their events, and tweaking their own presentation as a result, may well be a great starting point for the company.
