10 Classic WCW And ECW Storylines WWE Could Reboot

1. War Games

WWE.comWWE.comThis blurs the boundaries between storyline and gimmick match. This was originally used in the NWA/WCW as a way to settle a feud between a group of faces and, more often than not, The Four Horsemen. They were violent and bloody, and fans loved seeing the storylines culminate in this style of match. (For those unsure, it was a double ring setup with a cage over it. The teams would enter one at a time at 5 minute intervals. It was set so that the faces would be outnumbered until the end.) TNA has tried a version of it from time to time, but for whatever reason (pride I can only assume) WWE have so far been reluctant to use it, despite the clamour from the fans. Imagine had they used it to end the Shield/Evolution feud, or to end the Wyatt/Shield or Wyatt/Cena & The Usos feuds. Just think if they had used it during the WCW invasion angle. It would have been incredible. We don't need to see a large amount of blood - that is irrelevant. it is all about getting the fans emotionally invested in an angle and a storyline which in turn builds to the blow-off angle with the War Games cage. WWE management needs to swallow their pride. The past can be used to aid the current product and build to the future. They just have to look for the right opportunity.
